In the following sections, we present a set ofrecommendations to realize a social securitysystem for all generations by focusing on threespecific areas that we consider to be extremelyimportant: active utilization of data technology,shifting financial resources towards healthcareand retirement needs, and raising the healthand financial literacy of society. With Japan’sfiscal strains exacerbated by the novelcoronavirus, now is the time for Japan to tacklethese challenges.
